My rent is due. Can you help?

Yes, we can help.  If you are a veteran residing in Wisconsin and meeting the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affair's guidelines in most cases we can assist you.

There are just three things that we recommend:

1. If you have applied for benefits through the VA you are working with a County or Tribal Veteran Service Officer (CVSO or TVSO), a Service Officer with a recognized Veteran Service Organization (e.g., American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, etc.), or a nonprofit Veteran Service Organization registered with the State of Wisconsin (e.g., VetsNet).  If you are not registered with one of the afore organizations please contact one them immediately and register.
2. Contact your CVSO or TVSO, VSO service officer or counselor in the organization identified above and discuss your immediate rental issues.  The officer or counselor in your area is often knowledgable of and connected with Federal, State, County, and local organizations who may be able to assist in a rapid manner.
3. If the service officer or counselor is unable to locate assistance they can assist you in filling out the Financial Assistance Application through the Wisconsin Veterans Foundation, Inc.  This application can be completed by the individual, but must be submitted by the CVSO, TVSO, or the Counselor or Service Officer at the VSO you are working seeking assistance.  Both you and the VSO staff person you are working with must sign the application and submit it by FAX only.
